Folake Odediran is an inspiring and dynamic leader, passionate about people harnessing their full potential. She has more than 20 years of experience in the pharma industry, across different therapeutic areas and challenging markets in Africa, with international exposure the latest being in the United States. She has extensive experience in achieving sustainable business growth and transformation, transitioning talents into competent leaders, managing P&L, cultivating impactful public-private partnerships for creating sustainable value and shaping industry landscape.
Prior to Sanofi, she held various positions of increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing and business development at Astra Zeneca and Pfizer with records of great accomplishments.
Currently, she is General Manager General Medicines and Country Lead for Sanofi in Nigeria.
She also leads the Global Employee Resource Group (ERG) for Culture and Origins+ at Sanofi and is the first employee representative of the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Board of Sanofi, a first in kind DE&I Board in the Pharma Industry. She is also on the Board of Smart Stewards Advisory Limited.
She is the recipients of many awards including HOWES transformation Leader award, Great Place to Work Nigeria: Value add award, Special Recognition for Excellence in Health care award by Zenith Global Health, ICON of ABU award and Excellence in Leadership award presented to her by her team at Sanofi in recognition of her transformational, Courageous, and People Centered Leadership an award which was presented by Dr Sam Adeyemi on the invitation of her team .
Folake holds a Master of science (MSc) in Marketing from Edinburgh Business School; Heriot- Watt University UK, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos State University, Nigeria and graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B. Pharm).
With ability to pick up new things and learn on the fly, Folake brings Pace, Energy and Candor to her work, Clarity, and Context to her choices. She picks up new things and learn on the fly and find patterns in disparate pieces of information.
She is an avid reader and loves to take long walks.
