From selling exercise books on the streets as a young man, Joseph Siaw Agyepong is today a seasoned entrepreneur, industrialist, founder and executive chairman of the Jospong Group of companies with operations in Africa as well as Asia and the Middle East. He is widely known for seeking challenging opportunities as well as pioneering roles, to create and grow new businesses with the aim of creating wealth and growing the economy, thereby inspiring others to achieve their dreams.
The Jospong Group presently has over 45 companies and operates in 12 sectors of the economy ranging from waste sanitation and environmental management, telecoms, publishing, ICT and software development, automobile, manufacturing, mining and quarry, construction, ports services and logistics, agriculture, real estate, banking and finance, oil and gas.
He is a member of the Africa Advisory Board of Centre for African Studies of Harvard University, and he was adjudged the Overall Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 during the Ghana Entrepreneur Awards; he was also awarded the Order of the Volta in 2008, the Millennium Excellence Award for Leadership in Industry, the Most Marketing Oriented Company by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), among others. He is married to Mrs Cynthia Araba Agyepong and they are blessed with five children.
